One for bills, one for saving, one for sink funds, one for spending (entertainment, subscriptions like netflix etc).     Tortilla Valley I portion what I allot for gas/food/fun in the month into four weeks. Every Sunday I add 1/4 of the amount to my Apple Cash. Once it's out for the week, I'm done! And reload on Sunday :)

    lifeofabeach 50% Needs. 30% Wants. 20% Save/Invest. Don't use credit cards unless you can pay off in full each month. I like Wealthfront HYSA and I create categories with Labels and move money piles into these buckets/digital envelopes. Life changing!

Then determine budget for each category moving forward. I'd also look into how to reduce fixed expenses. For example, see if internet carrier has any promos.

    Practical-Start-2914 I think the biggest unlock is decoupling what you have in the bank from what you have available to spend in a given time period. There are a lot of strategies for doing this - envelopes, zero-based budgeting, a spreadsheet or app that lets you track available budget. What works great for one person might not work great for another.
